Presentation by Euroguidance at the quotGuidance paths and pathways in Europequot symposium at the IHE2F in Poitiers France

Euroguidance & the House of Guidance in Luxembourg have been invited by the French Institut des hautes études de l'éducation et de la formation (IHE2F) to take part in an international symposium organised in Poitiers on 6 and 7 February 2024 on the topic of "Guidance paths and pathways in Europe".

Kathleen Lapie, Euroguidance-Luxembourg coordinator, gave a presentation on "Lifelong guidance: navigating transitions and reinventing pathways". She presented Luxembourg's model for lifelong guidance and the missions of the Euroguidance network. During the same round table, Isabelle Soidet, a senior lecturer at the University of Nanterre (FR), presented her research on transitions in lifelong guidance.

The organisation of the Maison de l'orientation in Luxembourg was presented, along with its various services and missions and the objectives of Euroguidance through the presentation of various national and European projects.

During the debates, the event also explored the topic of guidance in a sustainable world, a subject linked to the European priorities which Euroguidance and Euroguidance-Luxembourg are committed to, in particular through its publications and related training courses (Guidance in a sustainable world, Guidance towards ecological transition careers).

A specific workshop on Euroguidance and mobility opportunities in EU was also proposed by Euroguidance-France during the two-day event.

The symposium, organised by the IHE2F in cooperation with France Education International and ONISEP, was attended by almost 200 professionals. It was aimed primarily at managers from the French Ministries of Education and Youth and of Higher Education and Research, for whom educational and vocational guidance is a major issue.
