ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
The Euroguidance Network strives to make our website accessible to all. In doing so, we are guided by the current standards of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). In 2023, an accessibility check was carried out for this purpose by IT-Solutions and programming improvements towards greater accessibility were carried out.
As of April 2024, this website is compliant with Conformance Level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines –WCAG 2.1 A and the applicable European standard according to Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.
1. Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:
a. Disproportionate burden
Numerous external documents that are displayed on our website under “Other publications” can be downloaded as PDFs, but these are not tagged, so that they cannot or can only insufficiently be grasped and used by screen reader users; language markings and alternative texts are also missing here. We are of the opinion that a remedy would represent a disproportionate burden in terms of accessibility regulations, as these are PDF documents provided by external sources.
2.Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on April 11, 2024.
The assessment of the website's compliance with the WCAG for the implementation of the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 was carried out in the form of a manual accessibility audit of each page by the web developers of euroguidance.eu “IT solutions” according to WCAG 2.1 in compliance level AA.
Individual page contents are regularly checked by the web editorial team when new content is published.
