Bulgaria and North Macedonia Career Development and Inclusion

An international seminar titled "Career Development and Inclusion" was held in Ohrid from 5 to 7 March 2025, organised jointly by the Euroguidance networks of Bulgaria and North Macedonia.

The goal of the seminar was to bring together career counsellors from across the educational spectrum — from primary education to universities — who are actively engaged in career guidance, inclusion and support for vulnerable groups in the educational process.

The discussions focused on new trends in career counseling, the specifics of approaches for different professional and social groups, best practices, and methods for sustainable inclusion of vulnerable groups. Participants from both countries also presented the opportunities offered by the “Erasmus+” Programme and successful projects in the field of career guidance funded by the Programme.

A special emphasis in the discussions was placed on formulating new approaches for the development of career guidance that would reflect specific issues related to the characteristics of the Balkan region. The importance of regular training for career counsellors was also highlighted, to ensure the provision of high-quality services that respond to the dynamic changes in the labor market.
