During these challenging times there is a need for compassion coupled with hope and positive action. This is a time for moving forward with a stance of “positive uncertainty”. Hope-Action Theory provides a dynamic, competency based approach to career development. In this session Dr. Norman Amundson, University of British Columbia, Canada and Andrea Fruhling, Mentor Coach and Instructor, University of British Columbia, Canda, will use Hope-Action Theory to illustrate how an integration of career counselling and career coaching practices can be used as a framework for effective career development.

Moderator: Dr. Gudbjörg Vilhjálmsdóttir, University of Iceland.
