Euroguidance Luxembourg Strengthens Cross-Network Cooperation Through European Mobility Information Session

Author: Euroguidance Luxembourg

As part of its mission to support the European dimension in guidance, Euroguidance Luxembourg organises an annual public information session entitled “Studying and Working Abroad.” The event aims to provide Luxembourg citizens with a comprehensive overview of the many opportunities available for studying, training, working, and volunteering abroad.

The information session “Studying and Working Abroad” highlights a wide range of mobility pathways for people at different stages of life, including secondary school pupils, higher education students, and adults seeking new international experiences. Topics covered include studying in a foreign school or university, language stays, vocational training abroad, internships, volunteering, small jobs, employment opportunities, and entrepreneurship abroad.

A key feature of the event is the opportunity for participants to meet directly with local experts representing national services and European programmes and networks. These representatives present their respective activities and mobility opportunities directly to end users, enabling participants to receive personalised information and practical guidance on the options best suited to their interests and aspirations.

Each year, Euroguidance Luxembourg invites representatives from Anefore - the National Erasmus+ Agency, Europass, EURES, Eurodesk Luxembourg, as well as the National Youth Service and ADEM-OP, the National Public Employment Service. This annual event serves as an opportunity to strengthen cross-network collaboration in promoting European mobility opportunities for Luxembourg citizens. Held in June 2026 at the Forum Geesseknäppchen in Luxembourg, the event has welcomed this year dozens of participants.

To complement the information session, a brochure entitled “Studying and Working Abroad” was also created and distributed. The brochure provides practical information on the various European opportunities for studying, training, working, and volunteering abroad, thereby extending the reach of the event beyond the session itself.

The main objective of the event is to share existing European mobility opportunities and make them more accessible to the public. By bringing together experts from different networks and programmes, the event creates a unique platform where citizens can explore a broad range of educational and professional mobility possibilities.

Beyond its direct benefit to participants, the event also served as an important opportunity for the invited partners to exchange information, discuss new developments in their respective programmes, and strengthen their cooperation. These exchanges contribute to the continuous professional development of the services and networks involved, allowing them to improve their knowledge of European mobility initiatives and better support the public.

Through this annual initiative, Euroguidance Luxembourg continues to play a central role in fostering cross-network cooperation and promoting the European opportunities available to Luxembourg citizens. By connecting guidance professionals, European programmes, and end users, the event helps make European mobility more visible, accessible, and meaningful for all.
