Cedefop Launches Survey on Microcredentials for Labour Market Education and Training

Cedefop has launched a new survey as part of its ongoing study on Microcredentials for Labour Market Education and Training. The initiative aims to deepen the understanding of how microcredentials—whether or not they are formally referred to as such—are structured, delivered, and recognised across Europe and beyond.

As the labour market continues to evolve, so does the need for flexible, accessible, and targeted learning opportunities. Microcredentials, including digital or open badges, partial qualifications, nano-qualifications, module certificates, and similar formats, are increasingly used to make learning visible, particularly outside formal education and training systems.

Help Shape the Future of Skills Recognition

Cedefop invites professionals, training providers, employers, policymakers, and other stakeholders to participate in an online survey, which will remain open until June 27, 2025. Participants are asked to provide expert insights on specific microcredentials they are familiar with, helping to build a comprehensive inventory of practices and models across countries and sectors.

By contributing, you will help clarify how microcredentials can support inclusive access to learning and open new pathways to employment, especially for those often left out of traditional systems.
