Euroguidance Estonia hosts interns from Germany
For the third time, Euroguidance Estonia hosts interns from Germany. Altogether six bachelor students from the University of Applied Labour Studies in Mannheim are in Estonia on one-month internship in May. It is an ideal opportunity for them to have a professional dialogue with experienced Estonian guidance practitioners and experts.
The interns, while visiting seven different regions in the country, get a chance to experience learning in multicultural environments as well as to discuss, share and compare their own daily guidance work with peers from the other countries. They will also acquire an overview of the world of education, labour market and lifelong guidance in Estonia, and have a chance to practise professional terminology and participate in discussions in a foreign language. Additional benefits are the possibility to widen their professional networks and cooperation opportunities, practise, understand and reflect on new methods, and finally to discover a new culture.
The previous years have shown that the students highly appreciated the opportunity to visit local guidance services in many different educational institutions. The host practitioners valued highest the opportunity to reflect on their guidance methods, practice professional language and learn about systems and services in Germany.
