Assessment of the mobility participant (to Spain and Sweden) regarding professional internship
The “European Professional Qualifications” project carried out internships in enterprises in Spain and Sweden for 30 students. Before and after the mobility, an evaluation survey of their skills and competencies was conducted. Before, 9 students believed that the mobility would definitely influence the improvement of their professional skills. 20 students thought it would rather influence. Upon their return, they indicated: 17 students thought the mobility definitely influenced the improvement of their skills, and 9 thought it would rather influence. Before the mobility, 18 students rather highly rated the qualifications, 8 rather low, while after arrival, 23 students rather highly rated the qualifications, 4 high.
The students gained skills: handling programs, working under pressure, time management, teamwork, creativity, practical and communication skills, conscientiousness, repairing equipment and appliances.
Young people picked up the habit of real work. Of the benefits, the students chose the top 3: gaining new experiences, enriching their resumes, and increasing their English skills.11 people (definitely yes) and 16 (rather yes) specified that participation in the internship motivated them to develop their acquired skills and competencies. They indicated that the mobility broadened their knowledge of the country's history and culture. Students answered that expectations were fulfilled, that they would gladly take part in another project, learned new technologies in the profession, improved their foreign language level, visited a lot of interesting places.
In an additional, trainee evaluation sheet, the young people evaluated, among other things, themselves as an employee - 15 people evaluated themselves very well, 14 well, 1 average. 14 people rate their commitment to the tasks assigned by the employer very well, 11 people well, 1 average.
The goals of the project have been achieved, and the experience, skills and competencies acquired will be the basis in the students' professional work.
