Between 20 and 24 May 2026, the Ministry of Education and Research organised Education Week 2026 — a national initiative dedicated to learning, career development and future opportunities, bringing together students, teachers, educational institutions, employers and development partners from across the country.

The initiative included more than 20 thematic events dedicated to educational reforms, innovation, inclusion, employability and future skills.

One of the flagship events of the week was Fii Pro, a national campaign aimed at promoting the teaching profession and encouraging young people to consider careers in education. Through inspirational meetings with teachers, interactive activities and the promotion of pedagogical study programmes, the campaign highlighted the social importance of teachers and the impact educators have on future generations.

Another important initiative was Viitorul e AgriCOOL, an interactive event focused on promoting modern agriculture and agri-food professions among young people. Participants explored innovative agricultural technologies, sustainable careers and entrepreneurship opportunities through practical demonstrations, exhibitions and direct interaction with professionals and educational institutions. The event helped challenge stereotypes about agriculture and presented the sector as innovative, dynamic and future-oriented.

Education Week also promoted experiential learning as an essential element of career guidance. Schools participated in workshops, STEM activities, entrepreneurship initiatives and peer learning opportunities that encouraged active participation, self-reflection and informed decision-making.

The activities organized during Education Week 2026 culminated with the large-scale national event "Learn in Moldova", which brought together higher education institutions with approximately 4,000 pupils and parents, aiming to promote higher education opportunities in the Republic of Moldova and support young people in exploring future academic and professional paths.
