Online career guidance curriculum series on sustainability and environmental protection
Miénk a Pálya Foundation supports disadvantaged youth in making informed, conscious career choices by enhancing their self-awareness and providing accessible knowledge.
The project’s core is a free online knowledge repository that can support young people throughout their decision-making process in the context of school guidance, counselling or even self-directed learning. An essential element of this curriculum system is to paint a realistic career picture for young people tailored to their age and understanding, offering answers to questions they may not yet know how to ask, and which may be crucial in shaping their future.
Recognizing young people’s media habits, the developers intended also to transfer the career-specific knowledge gathered through social media to increase engagement. A key focus is raising awareness of young people on career opportunities related to sustainability and environmental fields that may be attractive to them, aiming to align individual ambitions with the needs of a sustainable future.
With this targeted curricular content, the Foundation aims to provide a more accurate picture of the occupations that are popular for young people and to introduce them to lesser-known career opportunities that may offer them good career prospects.
