Global Careers Month 2025: What We Learned and What Comes Next, a Cedefop Report

The second Global Careers Month, held in November 2025, brought together more than 150 events across all continents, with many additional events taking place at national and local levels. It showed that career guidance is gaining attention worldwide, with stronger networks, new approaches and growing cooperation across countries and regions. 

The discussions also showed how different the challenges can be from one region to another. While Europe is increasingly focusing on lifelong guidance and its links with skills and employment policies, other regions highlighted issues such as youth unemployment, informal work, migration and the need for guidance that reflects local cultures and realities.

The message is clear: career guidance needs to reach more people, be better connected to education and employment policies, and respond to a changing world of work. Global Careers Month will continue as a regular initiative, building on the partnerships and exchanges developed so far.
