SkillCompass: Empowering Youth with Learning Differences through Inclusive Career Guidance Tools

 The SkillCompass project is an Erasmus+ initiative designed to improve career guidance for young people with learning differences by providing practical, inclusive and easy-to-use digital resources.

The project responds to the need for career guidance approaches that recognise individual strengths rather than focusing on learning barriers. It supports young people with dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, dyspraxia and ADHD as they explore education, training and employment opportunities.

The resources include interactive activities, self-reflection exercises, career exploration materials, strength identification tools, visual planning resources and practical guidance for career practitioners, teachers and parents. Each tool has been designed according to principles of accessibility, inclusion and universal design so it can be adapted to different learning styles and support needs.

The tools are suitable for individual guidance sessions, classroom activities, workshops and group training, both online and face to face. They help young people identify their strengths, increase self-awareness, explore career pathways, improve decision-making and build confidence in planning their future. Career guidance practitioners can integrate the resources into existing counselling services without requiring specialised software or advanced technical skills.

SkillCompass also supports professionals by providing evidence-based methodologies and practical guidance for delivering more inclusive career services. Through international cooperation between organisations from North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Serbia and the Czech Republic, the project promotes the exchange of good practices and contributes to improving the quality of career guidance for learners with diverse educational needs across Europe.
