CHAPTER 12
Guiding and counselling adults in Portugal: new opportunities for a qualification 235
It is important to understand the types of guidance used and some of the
dynamics of the current national qualifications system. The main activity
indicators for new opportunities centres (as detailed in Table 12.1) show
increasing take-up of the various offers under the national qualifications system
that mirrors growth in the number of centres (from six in 2000 to 453 in 2010).
